Raymond J. Fisher Middle School

California Distinguished School

KRJF Studio Elective / Video Production

Seventh and eighth grade students are introduced to the process of digital storytelling while developing material for the morning announcements. Students create the daily morning broadcast and document various events outside of the regular school day such as after school sports and club activities. Students have access to equipment such as Canon and GoPro cameras, wireless microphones, and Final Cut Pro X on Apple iMacs. Creative students who like to act, tell stories, and work in small groups are encouraged to sign up. Students must be available to film events after school a few times throughout the year. The nature of the class requires students who can work independently with limited direct supervision.
