This year-long class focuses on the skills and knowledge involved in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Students are challenged with projects that emphasize critical thinking and problem solving. Students learn to think independently while at the same time learning cooperatively. They will learn how to identify and safely use basic hand tools, such as, screwdrivers, wire strippers, cordless drills, and more. They will learn basic skills including soldering, circuit design, and coding with Arduinos while at the same time acquiring foundational knowledge about electricity, the design process, physical computing, and service beyond self.
