The majority has spoken. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings on our holiday costume. Here is what we have decided on as a group:
Holiday pattern PJ bottoms (please, NO onesies or pajama sets)
Plain white top (perhaps you can reuse the one you wore for our first performance)
Accessories:
Open -- you may wear any festive accessory you like (options include hats, headbands, socks, necklaces, elf ears, etc.)
Advanced dance -- limited to headwear, i.e. festive hats and headbands
All -- black masks (I will have some available if needed)
Shoes: comfortable sneakers that go with your PJs
NOTE: It is Wacky Winter Wear day! There will be an opportunity for you to change into your costume when you get to dance class if you do not want to wear this to school. We will NOT have a flex practice that day, because it is a non-block schedule. The practice will take place during 4th period on December 16th.

OPTIONAL: Bring a gift to get a gift. We will relax by the "fire" while we listen to some holiday hits and play White Elephant. If you would like to participate, then bring a gender neutral gift that is around $10 in price. They say a good gift is one you would like to keep. Perhaps it's a gift card, mug, scarf, gloves, snack foods, etc.

October 29th is a "spooktacular" school-wide dress up day. We will also be wearing our halloween costumes for our lunch time performance, so please consider these factors:
Be consistent with the school’s dress code (including no weapons or replicas of).
Be culturally and socially appropriate.
Allow for the requirement that regular masks (for COVID) must still be worn indoors by staff and students following the regular school guidelines.
Costumes should not be “blow-up” or inflatable that rely on air fans.
NOTE: There will be an opportunity for you to modify your costume just before the performance if you feel like your mobility will be limited by your costume.
