Homework: Five Author Craft Moves - WW Session 3 HW:
Write at least one page about at least five different craft moves by the author (Title: Five Author Craft Moves in [Story title here]) used in your selected partner text. Complete in your comp book!
- Find essential scenes/events FIRST
- Then look for specific craft moves in those scenes!
- In your page of writing, you should be citing, describing, and justifying each of the five craft moves in regards to how they relate to your chosen theme and reveal things about the primary characters in the text.
- Think: Why is the author using each of those specific craft moves? How do those craft moves reveal more about the character or the theme of the story?
