How do societies and systems restructure and reorganize following a disaster?

We have looked at the rise of Islam, the Middle Ages in Europe, and the Crusades as examples of how systems & societies restructure. Now YOU will tell this story!

Instead of taking a test on this, we will record a telenovela. A telenovela is like a Spanish soap opera. It's filled with drama and cliffhangers, and each episode leads to the next.

Each group will take one piece of the story, write a script, create characters, and record your scenes using WeVideo. Each groups "episode" will lead to the next, and together our "season" will tell the whole story for the effects of the rise of Islam, the Middle Ages in Europe, and the Crusades.

Step 1:
Begin by reading your section of the textbook and individually taking notes about your terms and figures. You can write your notes in the "Cast of Actors" doc. Remove/change any terms/names that aren't for your topic.

Step 2:
After your group has finished getting notes, begin discussing how you want to set up your scenes. Come up with an overall "purpose" of each scene. Then assign each scene to a member of the group to write a script for it.

Step 3:
After all the scripts are written, your group will record your video. You can bring props, costumes, or things to decorate your puppets (if you're making any) or background from home. We will use school-issued cameras and WeVideo to record and edit your acts/episodes.
