For the remainder of the year, you can bring a small snack to use for mindfulness. However, there are some parameters to make this work:
NO SHARING Bring something for yourself. If you forget, use that as motivation to remember next time. Once you enter the classroom, you either have something or you don't.
NO MESSES No crumbs, spills, sticky residue or wrappers left behind or forfeit your privileges.
PERSONAL PRACTICE It's still mindfulness, so we're using this time to have our own personal experiences. Talking or loud eating or wrappers will disrupt our ability to practice.
FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS This isn't a time to bring a full meal. It's a small, quick snack that fits into our 2 minutes. Enjoy the process or sit quietly while the rest of us do.
Hi All!
Invest in yourself, your learning, and the success of your classmates. Use patience and love in your choices.

You have this whole period to take the test on Formative. You won’t see results until I release them later. You can use any handwritten notes. If they’re not attached to your notebook you must turn them in at the end of class. Any talking during the test will be 50% off your grade, no exceptions.
If you finish early, there are a few things you can do:
Write one final YLQ to wrap up the year. 1/2 to a full page. You can focus on what you think after learning about the Byzantine Empire & Islam, but you can also reflect on anything else you’ve thought of this year. Remember, our question is HOW CAN WE MAKE THE MOST SUSTAINABLE SOCIETY?
Tear out any extra paper from your notebook. Please try to keep it nice so I can use it next year! Clean up any of the little scrap pieces that tear off. Thanks!
Watch a video posted to Google Classroom (use headphones).
Finish SEL form or Benchmark Exam (if not finished).
Read, draw, work on things for other classes.
Good luck everyone!
