7:45 AM: Be in your assigned seat in the gym with your instrument and music binder.
Prior to 7:45 AM: Drop off all personal items/backpacks in the orchestra room, pick up your instrument and music, and head straight to the gym. (Cellos: Remember to bring your home cello if needed).
In the Gym: Tuning, warm-up, and backwards line-up practice on the bleachers, followed by the Veterans Day Celebration performance.
Attire & Preparation:
Arrival: Students must arrive at school dressed in full formal attire, including black dress shoes and black socks. (Please ensure formal pants/dresses are hemmed before performance day).
After the Performance: Students will change into regular school clothes for the rest of the day. Please ensure your student brings a bag or garment bag to store their concert attire and personal items. (If you bring a plastic bag, please label it with your name)
Changing Locations (Music Wing):
Girls: Change in Room B1 (Orchestra Room)
Boys: Change in Room B3 (Choir Room)
Note: Orchestra uniforms may be left in the orchestra room during the school day, but must be taken home at the end of the day.

Our Chamber Strings students have the opportunity to audition for the California All-State Junior High Orchestra.  

If chosen, students are invited to attend the California All-State Music Conference that will be held from January 14th-17th in Sacramento.  If your child is interested, they need to start practicing and preparing for the audition right away. 

The music must be prepared on students own time.  Working with a private instructor is highly recommended. 

**If you need help, please let me know by the end of September. 

There is a $55 application fee and all audition material is due on Thursday, October 30th at 9pm. 

If you are interested in auditioning, please find and complete the "CODA Student Information Collection Form" and either email it to me or give me a hard copy by Friday, Sept 25th. 

**New this year** They are hosting a "Super Saturday" on Saturday, Sept 19th to help students prepare for the audition. To sign up students will need to use my school email: akrijnen@lgusd.org

We’ll have Golden Icecream and Oaxacan Kitchen food trucks for everyone to enjoy, or feel free to bring your own picnic. We encourage everyone to stay and support all the performances!

The concert will take place outdoors in the school quad. Students are required to attend only the concert in which they are performing but are welcome to stay and enjoy the entire event. View the full program here:

: Trojan Band, Trojan Strings, Trojan Choir (students arrive at 3:00 PM for warm-up)
: Concert Band, Intermediate Orchestra, Cambiata Choir (students arrive at 4:00 PM for warm-up)
: Symphonic Band, Advanced Orchestra,  Bel Canto Choir (students arrive at 5:00 PM for warm-up)
: Chamber strings and Jazz Band (students should arrive at 6:00 PM for warm-up)
Please bring a lawn chair or plan to stand—seating will be limited. October weather is unpredictable, it might be hot, it might be cold so please plan accordingly.

Students should wear their black Fisher Music T-shirt with casual bottoms (shorts are fine).

This contest is for any music student in Advanced and Chamber to design the image for the back of the Disneyland trip t-shirt. The winning artwork will be used for the entire music program! 
Your design needs to include “Fisher Music Disneyland Trip 2027” Please submit (1) square logo design on white paper (no lined/notebook paper please) to your music teacher. 
Please trace over any drawings with a black marker and erase any pencil marks, so the design is legible. 
You may also use Canva to create a digital design. 
Only one entry per student may be submitted. 
The artist is responsible for ensuring that the artwork submitted is an original piece and that the design submitted is not copyrighted. YOU MAY NOT USE ANY DISNEY IMAGES. (no Mickey ears, no castle, no Disney font, etc)
Designs can be submitted until Friday, Oct 2nd. We will vote in class between October 5th-9th.
