Insurance, Warranty & Repair Info

CHROMEBOOK REPAIR PROCESS for 2019-2020 school year:

If your Chromebook breaks, or is not functioning properly, you may borrow a temporary loaner for up to 30 days while yours is being repaired or replaced.

Before submitting a request for loaner, you must determine whether or not your Chromebook repair is a warranty issue for HP, an insurance claim with Worth Ave., or an insurance claim with School Device Coverage.

Please read through the following information to guide you through the repair process and then submit your TEMPORARY LOANER REQUEST here:

https://forms.gle/apoqLEbZFFpub27q8

If you prefer to submit a paper form, you may print this out and turn it in to Chrome Depot: https://4.files.edl.io/e527/09/06/19/183531-82bc3050-1c38-417c-acaa-ad0c2502d31d.pdf

Is your Chromebook LESS than a year old?

(If answer is NO, see below: “Is your Chromebook MORE than a year old?”)

MANUFACTURER DEFECT/MECHANICAL FAILURE - HP Warranty Repairs

For Chromebooks purchased less than a year ago, HP will cover any manufacturer defect or mechanical failure for the first year. Example: unresponsive trackpad, malfunctioning keyboard, etc. (Accidental damage or theft is NOT covered by the warranty.)

To file a warranty claim with HP, visit the HP site and enter your device serial number.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

HP will process your claim and ship a box to your home address. Simply pack it up in the box provided, ship it out & it will be returned directly to you once the repair has been done.

ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE, LOSS, THEFT?
