Holiday Parade Results
Congratulations Fisher Marching Band and Color Guard, and Drum Major Veloria Pannell!  All won awards at the 2017 Los Gatos Holiday Parade.

CHARMS link - This is where students will submit playing tests.  Parents, please enter your name and email address under "student info" / "add new adult".  
   1)  Log on using school code RJFMusic
   2)  enter student password - if problems, email me and I'll reset to the default
   3)  find "recording studio" with the microphone icon
   4) find "assignments" click on the assignment
   5) record as many takes as you like
   6) save the take you want to submit
   7) done!

Honor Band Information - Please see Mrs. Anderson right away if you are interested in one of the honor bands below, and plan to attend an info meeting at lunch on Thursday, Nov. 10th in the band room.  A commitment to audition is needed by Nov. 15th, and all auditions and applications must be complete by Nov. 28th. 
 

The NCBA All-Northern California Honor Bands are selected by audition. Students are required to perform a pre-selected piece of music and submit a recording of their performance. (This can be the same recording submitted for CBDA All-State, and students are strongly encouraged to prepare recordings to both.) Students chosen for this honor band must attend the NCBA Honor Band rehearsal/performance in Stockton, CA on January 19-21, 2018. Information about audition requirements can be found at the NCBA website.

The CBDA All-State Honor Bands are selected by audition. Students are required to perform a pre-selected piece of music and submit a recording of their performance. Students chosen for this honor band must attend the California All-State Music Education Conference (CASMEC) in San Jose on February 15-18, 2018. Join our Music Boosters!  We meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7pm in the Fisher library.   Our next meeting is Oct. 11th, 2017. 
Parents, if you are thinking of volunteering in the classroom, chaperoning, driving, or helping with any performances/field trips, please note that you must have a TB test on file in the Fisher office.  You can speak with our school secretary Jane Babb if you need more information about this.
