Congrats on a fantastic CMEA Music Festival!
Fisher Concert Band did a beautiful performance and received an Excellent rating from all three adjudicators.
Symphonic Band also had an outstanding performance, earning a Superior rating from all three adjudicators, and earning a Superior rating in the sight-reading!  Well done!!
 
Congrats on an outstanding Music in the Parks!  
Fisher musicians did very well at our recent Music in the Parks festival.  
Open Band earned an Excellent rating and 3rd place in their division.
Jazz Band B earned an Excellent rating and 3rd place in their division.
Jazz Band A earned a Superior rating and 1st place in their division, and best Overall Jazz Band!   
 
Congrats to our 5 Honor Band Students
A big congrats to the following students auditioned for and were accepted into the California All-Northern Jr. High Honor Band!!
     Trevor Dales, 8th grade, trumpet
     Jonah Grancell, 7th grade, bassoon
     Veloria Pannell, 8th grade, alto saxophone
Congrats also to the following students that were nominated by me and accepted into the California Music Educators Association (CMEA) Jr. High Bay Section Conference Honor Band!
     Matthew Haines, 8th grade, tenor saxophone
     Cameron Sherry 8th grade, euphonium
 
 
CHARMS link - This is where students will submit playing tests.  Parents, please enter your name and email address under "student info" / "add new adult".  
   1)  Log on using school code RJFMusic
   2)  enter student password - if problems, email me and I'll reset to the default
   3)  find "recording studio" with the microphone icon
   4) find "assignments" click on the assignment
   5) record as many takes as you like
   6) save the take you want to submit
   7) done!
 
 
 
 
 
 
Join our Music Boosters!  We meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7pm in the Fisher library.  Parents, if you are thinking of volunteering in the classroom, chaperoning, driving, or helping with any performances/field trips, please note that you must have a TB test on file in the Fisher office.  You can speak with our school secretary Jane Babb if you need more information about this.
