Part (b) =  The reasoning...since the probability of winning on the 1st coin toss is 1.4% (or 0.014), you'll have to toss the coin at least 72 times.  We know this because if you multiply (72)*(0.014) = 1.008 (or 100.8%) and comparing it to the product of (71)*(0.014) 0.994 (or 99.4%), you can see that tossing the coin 71 times does not guarantee you 100% success; but tossing it 72 times does.
