Spanish 1A- español 1A (Period 1,3,5) Assignments

Tarea:  Complete your "tabla de vocabulario" for all Chapter 3A words found on page 109 in your textbook.  We will complete the gestures for these words on "martes y miercoles".  

Prueba (Quiz):  Vocabulary quiz on "jueves y viernes" for Chapter 3A vocabulary words found on pg. 109 in your textbook.  Closed notebook.

Study the first 12 vocabulary words from your "tabla de vocabulario".  Practice the gestures with a friend or family member.  Review telling time.

Tarea-homework:  Use vocabulary from page 81 in your textbook. Only do the following catagories: "Clases, Colores, Días, Por teléfono."  Complete those sections in your "cuaderno interactivo".  Make sure you provide the translation and a sketch/drawing that is meaningful to you.  We will fill out the gesture section together as a class.

Examen Oral(15points)-Be prepared to answer 3 questions related to the following scenario: It's the first day of school and you see a new person that you'd like to meet.  Be prepared to ask who the person is, where they are from, and ask them how to say a word in Spanish.

 

Exam 2A (51points): I will hand out a review sheet at the end of this week.  I will attach the review ASAP.  The exam will cover the following topics:

*classroom object identification 

*subject pronouns "pronombres"

*SER and ESTAR remember "DO IT" and "HELP" and practice conjugating 

*7 colors (red, yellow, green, blue, black, gray, white)

*articles the/a : "el/la, los/las, un/una, unos/unas" and number/gender agreement

*identify at least 3 geographical names of Spanish origin

*compare schools in Spanish speaking countries with schools in the U.S.

*identify at least 2 famous/influential people of Hispanic origin

 

Exam 2A-"REPASO"-REVIEW Packet.  Please complete and use to study.

Tarea: Provide 3 examples of influential hispanics in the United States (deceased or living).  Include their country of origin and their profession.  Write your examples on a piece of notebook paper to be turned in at the beginning of class during "calentamiento".  

Ejemplo:

1.  Sofia Vergara es actriz y es de Colombia.

 

Prueba(25points)OPEN NOTE- Please organize your notes in your "cuaderno interactivo" so you are prepared.  We will review for the first 20 minutes of class. The quiz will cover the following:

*conjugation of ESTAR - page 76 in textbook & conjugation chart in "cuaderno"

*schools in Spanish speaking countries- pg. 63 in textbook

*geographical names with Spanish origins- pg. 43 in textbook

Remember your interactive journal "cuaderno" for the quiz at the end of class.  Practice your numbers with the following:
