LGUSD Homework Policy
The LGUSD Governing Board recognizes the importance of helping our students achieve educational standards while fostering a healthy sense of balance in life. Our priority for all students is a safe, nurturing classroom that provides student-centered learning during the school day. Homework augments classroom learning and can not substitute for the importance of the teacher and student interaction. Therefore, when assigned, homework is intended to be developmentally appropriate and ensure that our students still have the opportunity to balance school and family while getting the proper amount of exercise and rest to leave them feeling excited and energized for their next day of school.
