Meet Mrs. Leonard

Life science is my passion and I love to spread my enthusiasm to the amazing middle schoolers that enter my classroom.

I am Mrs. Ella Leonard and I teach 7th grade Life Science here at R.J.Fisher Middle School. This is my tenth year at Fisher. Prior to teaching at Fisher, I taught 6th and 7th-grade science for six years at a middle school in San Jose. I then spent some time at home with my family.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Environmental Science. I then earned my single subject teaching credential in Biological Science and Introductory Science. When I am not teaching I spend a lot of time shuttling my kids to their various activities and walking my dog (Albus Dumbledog) I also love to read and run (though not at the same time).

I am excited about this school year and the opportunity to get students excited about the wonderful world of biology.
