You will have approximately 15 minutes on Monday to set up your machine. This is NOT building/construction time. You can NOT use any tools, just get the machine set and ready to demonstrate. Look at the rubric in the project packet for details.

You will turn in your notebook on Monday. Journal entries are worth 25 pts, Task sheet is worth 22 pts, & Brag sheet is worth 50 pts. This is a total of 97 Process pts.

Turn in your slideshow here. Be prepared to give your presentation on Monday. The order will be determined randomly.

This packet contains everything you need to know about The Rube Goldberg Project. Read ALL of it very carefully. We will go over highlights in class but not every detail. However, you will be held accountable for all of the details, so read ALL of it carefully. 

Also, do some research about these types of projects. There is a doc with links to some videos but you can find tons more online.

Talk to your partners about this document. Come to class Thurs/Fri with ideas and info. Be ready to fill it out and turn it in by the end of class Th/F.

Read ALL of the project packet (see other assignment) and then sign this contract. Get your parents to read the packet and then have them sign this contract. 

The contract was handed out in class but you can find it at the end of the project packet.

Please bring the following to class on Tuesday/Wednesday of this week:
-wired headphones
-reading book

Please take a few minutes to complete this survey AFTER you SEL lesson. 

Select 'Youth Community Service' for the first question.

Teams of up to 3 will create a Blooket. Each partner needs to write at least 2 questions. Upload your link to the doc below.

You will complete the first page of this in class after the quiz. The second page is an OPTIONAL project. IF you chose to make a model you will do so at home and then take a picture of you with your model. Upload that picture to this assignment. Make sure that you and your model can be clearly seen in the photo. Also, make sure that the atoms in your molecule are clearly labeled (with element symbol) and visible. The OPTIONAL model is worth 10 BONUS points (process).

Review your textbook pages 8-73. NOTE, there are some pages that were not part of your reading HW but that may be helpful in reviewing, such as the Topic Reviews on pp. 40-41 and pp. 68-69.


You should also review notebook pages 67-82.

Use the simulator to complete the handout for notebook p. 80.

This notebook check will cover pages 52-73

Use the handout you got in class (ntbk p. 75) to take notes from the slideshow. 

Use this rubric to help you complete your scene for the storyboard.

Make sure you have completed the graph (notebook p. 68) and ALL questions (p. 69) BEFORE our next class. You don't have to write anything for Part 2 of the lab. You can skip question 3 c.

Review work/textbook pages 56-97
Complete the Topic Review on pp. 96-97
Review notebook pages 54-58
Use the study aides created by you and your classmates (Blooket, etc.)

Use the Learning Opportunities, your text/workbook (pp.12-51), and notebook (pp. 38-51) to review for this test.

Complete the vocabulary on the Learning Objectives worksheet (see previous post) and review the readings from last week (pp. 10-26).

Watch video and do quiz + vocab. on gold handout (p. 40)

We will review in class on T/W, but you need to review/study for HW. Your study guides are the 2 Learning Objectives handouts (electronic). You should review ALL work/textbook readings as well as pages 14-35 in your Science Notebook.

Your Free Body Diagram is due Wednesday by the end of class.

Q1 ends on Friday 10/14. No late work will be accepted after that date. If you need help completing any assignment you should come see me either before school, during flex, or after school.

Review reading pages 28-36 and notebook pages 28-35. This will NOT be a SchoolNet quiz. It will be an open-response quiz. I will demonstrate each of the laws and you will match the demos to the laws, then describe & explain each.

Check the Table of Contents and make sure that all your pages are complete and in the correct order. Missing or incomplete pages will result in loss of points.

We will have a short quiz on Forces and Motion. Review text/workbook pages 12-19 and notebook pages 18-19 as well as the Learning Objectives for T1L1.

Complete the Topic 2 Review on pages 68-69 to help you prepare for the quiz.

Use Segment 1 of the Savvas Elevate text/workbook to complete this assignment. Read Topic 2 and answer every question that there is space provided for answering.

You will receive a physical copy of this in class. Please read and sign then have your parents do the same. Take a look at the list of suggested materials and work on getting them by next week, especially the notebook. I will have some available in class if you are unable to get one on your own.

Get a parent/guardian to read/sign the syllabus.
