Open Dance-Periods 2 & 4 Assignments

Optional practice for ALL CLASSES is on Thursday, 5/25, during flex.  Your teacher will receive an email as a flex pass, so you must check in for attendance before meeting Meyer in the breezeway.

Please read the design boards carefully to be prepared for the recital on May 19th.  Your call time is 4:00 PM.  You will have a little bit of time to finish your hair and makeup, but come as ready as possible in case we need more time to practice the dances.

Please bring a plain white T-shirt with your name written on the tag of your shirt. If you bring it to class before May 1st, then we can create your Farewell T-shirt for the recital/rally #2.

We are working on a mash-up for your Farewell dance that is performed at the last rally of the year.  What song would you like to add to the mash-up for the class of 2023?

We will be performing on Valentine's Day at BREAK.  The call time is 9:40 AM. You will miss the end of your 1st period (if possible) to practice with the other classes. 

Please wear any shade of pink, red, or white.  You can wear denim and black so long as you pair them with something pinkish. Please see the attached slide for some examples.

Our holiday performance is on Thursday, December 22, during lunch in the quad.  We will meet in the quad at 12:00 noon so we can practice with all three classes together. If you need to stay in class for the duration of 4th period, then that takes priority.  You should be wearing your costume (or change into it on your way over). 


Costume: Please pair your favorite festive pajama bottoms with a black top (of any style), and you're all set. No accessory required. 

We are now exchanging gifts in class on Wednesday, December 21 so we can accommodate more students who will be out of town the second half of the week.  Please stay within the $20 budget we agreed to. If you are still going to be absent on 12/21 please see Ms. Fish to clarify when you can bring/receive your secret santa gift!

Our first rally performance is Friday, September 30th, during flex time.  We will meet in the dance studio at 11:30 AM so we can practice with all three classes together. If you need to stay in class for the duration of 4th period, then meet us in the gym.  We will be waiting in the front row bleachers. You should be wearing your costume (or change into it on your way over). 

Costume: solid black top (any style), solid black bottom (any style), and spirit accessories that match your school color (green, gold, or purple).

Please fill out the Google form that was sent home via ParentSquare to receive a grade.  If you do not have access to the Google form, then please detach, sign, and return the acknowledgment page to Mrs. Meyer for full credit.

Pre-orders from the summer can be picked up by the girl's locker room.  If you have yet to order your uniform, please print the form attached and return it with cash or a check written out to Fisher Middle School. Note: 6th-grade students will wear their PE shirts, so they do not need to purchase a dance T-shirt.
