Hi Everyone,
Unfortunately, I broke out in a fever last night, so I have to take 1 more day to heal. Covid negative thankfully. I'm sorry I couldn't be there with you all to teach you in person all of these techniques. If I could be there I would.
Today you're going to continue with your Desmos Art project. I've included a rubric (Assignment #81) in your Google Classroom. I've also attached an additional tutorial on making waves (or water). Check it out if you want to include it in your art piece. This assignment won't be due until next week on Monday or Tuesday.
For those of you who finish early, your next assignment is already posted (Assignment #82). It is a drawing of rotating hexagons. This drawing will be done on graphing paper. A rubric with graph paper will be found in the blue baskets at the back of the classroom. This assignment won't be due until next week on Tuesday or Thursday.
Finally, make sure you're all caught up with your MathXLs because you're taking a short Module #9 Quiz on mathXL tomorrow in class. I want to check how well you're retaining this information. Tomorrow is all periods and Wednesday is a minimum day.
AGENDA
1. Complete Assignment #81 first. There's a new tutorial for making waves (or water) attached. Use headphones if necessary.
2. Complete Assignment #82 next.
3. Make sure you're all caught up on your MathXLs for tomorrow's Module #9 Quiz.

Hi Everybody,
My apologies for not being there today, I had an important family visit to attend to. However, the great substitute teacher Ms. Evans will be there, and she's more than capable of helping you with the math we're doing in class. Remember that tomorrow is your Unit Test B2 and you need to know how to graph, solve, and re-arrange those equations on your last worksheet. So please ask questions if you don't know. She has the solutions to our latest worksheet, so please ask. Below is your AGENDA for the day:
AGENDA:
1. Help Ms. Evans by passing back the graded HW from last week.
2. Go over questions and answers from the last worksheet. It's not due until tomorrow. Ms. Evans has the solutions.
3. If you finish early with the worksheet then review for the test by completing the Desmos activity. Graded on completion.
HOMEWORK
1. Assignment #51: Worksheet, Review for Unit Test B2 (due tomorrow)
2. Assignment #52: Desmos Activity, Make Them Balance (due tonight at midnight)

Hi Everybody,
Sorry I couldn't be there today, my son Oscar is sick and I needed to stay home to take care of him. Note that our sub today, Ms. Seshadri, is one of the best math subs in town. She can explain any and all the math problems we're studying and learning. So I encourage you to take advantage and ask her for help and explain any math problem you got wrong on your homework. Don't be shy.
The list below is your agenda for today. Complete this in order:
1. Check the answers to your homework. I've posted the answers below and your sub has them as well. She's going to ask you if you got any incorrect, if you did, make sure to ask her to show you how to do them. Turn it in afterward.
2. Get together with your groups and finish your project, the Time-Distance Booklets. Include a rubric with your booklet and turn it into the Inbox in the back of the classroom.
3. If you finish early, start on Assignment #36. This is due next Monday. It's 22 two-step equations, due next Monday, and yes, you have to show all your work on a separate sheet of paper.
Much Love,
Mr. Santillana

Hello Everybody,
Well, well, well, I guess I couldn't escape the sickness after all. It started with a tickle in my throat and now I can barely talk. Ugh. The lesson for today will build on what we've been doing. I'll also be live on chat via GoGuardian so you can ask me questions. Below is a list of what you should do on your own today. Please be independent and resourceful. I'm hoping to be back by Wednesday.
To-Do List:
1. Get your headphones out and watch the video notes I've posted here. If you don't have any headphones, borrow some from the substitute. I've printed (or scripted) these notes for you so that you only have to fill in the blanks. Feel free to get some scissors from the Student Closet if you want to trim your sheet for your notebook. And please, don't forget to update your Table of Contents.
2. Next, attempt at least 10 problems from the "Partner Problem, Finding Slope" worksheet that we started on Monday. You can check your answers with your classmates, you can check with me via chat on GoGuardian, or you can wait until we see each other on Thursday. Remember that this is a practice activity, not an assignment for points. Try your best, it's okay if you make mistakes.
3. Next try and finish your graphing activity we started last Thursday. This is a great opportunity to earn some extra credit too, so take advantage while you can. I have colored pencils you can borrow in the Student Closet if you're ready to decorate it.
4. Finally move on to your MathXLs. Your MathXL 3.2B which is due tonight at midnight, and the new one, MathXL 3.3A, which is due later this week.
One Last Thing:
Make good choices while I am out. I do not want a bad report from your substitute. Remember to be respectful, responsible, and always be ready.
