Read about how compromises failed, Lincoln's election, and the Southern secession.

Read about the Missouri Compromise, and outline Lesson 21 Sections 1 and 2 (pages 402 - to the first paragraph on 405).

In your notebook, create an Illustrated T-Chart that explains what the North and the South got from the Compromise of 1850 (found on page 407).  Label each picture, and the pictures must be colored.  Example of illustrated T-Chart on the board.  When you are done, get a stamp from Ms. Warren.

The debates will be on Tuesday.  EACH PERSON NEEDS A PRINTED COPY OF THE SCRIPT.

This assignment needs to be completed and turned in by every member of your team.  Because the Leader and the Purser do not have a big assignment to complete, it would probably make the most sense for them to complete this assignment during the simulation and then explain the answers to the rest of the group members.

Please show a parent/guardian the veterans project, and have them sign off that you went over it with them.

It is so important to double-check "facts."

Make sure to ask a parent/guardian about what they think are important events for you on your personal timeline.  If they agree with the events you included on your timeline, they need to circle these events, but if they thought other events were more important in your development, they need to write them in.
