Here is the optional study guide for your quiz on Friday.

*Please make sure you also practiced multiplying decimals in iXL I.3 (That should say "eye".3). No need to practice more than 5 problems or get higher than a 50% smart score.  Your quiz will have decimals!

Please read the instructions listed below.  This will be due on Friday, and your classmates will be grading and solving your art project.  This is the first grade of the 4th quarter worth 20 points!

YOU MUST SHOW ALL WORK.  The answer key is provided already, so I want to see a "messy" paper showing your multiplication and work.

Don't forget to come to class on Tuesday with an idea for creating your own composite/compound figure.

Optional, but make sure there are 4 main topics to understand:

1.  Write a ratio, and make sure it is in its simplest form.  
2.  Are two ratios equivalent?  
3.  Can you fill in a ratio table using patterns or equivalent fractions/ratios?
4.  ***Find the unit rate****.

Choose 6 grocery items(technically a total of 7 as we did eggs today in class and this should be in your first block on the answer sheet).  Find the unit rate for each and find which is the better buy.  YOU WILL SHOW DIVISION FOR A TOTAL OF 18 PROBLEMS.  There are 6 items, and each has 3 unit rates to find.  You will need to round to the nearest hundredths for money.

Complete the questions practicing unit rate, rounding decimals(for money!), and understanding equivalent ratios.

Sorry to miss you today.  Our Wednesdays will mostly be review of what we've learned so far this year, which is a lot!!!!  You have the below four iXLs that are due by Sunday evening, but it would be awesome to have them all completed in class.

You must get a smart score of at least 80%.  I challenge you to get closer to 90%.

If you finish all four iXLs, please make sure you complete(pass) one iReady lesson.  

If you are done with iReady, you may read or do something productive(homework for another class or the tower of Hanoi quietly) or practice multiplication fluency on iXL race game.

For the remainder of the year, please complete one lesson per week.  Instead of looking for time, I will now be looking at a completed lesson.

1.  On a separate sheet of paper, do your quiz corrections, making sure you understand your mistakes
2.  Show me your corrections either during break, lunch, or ask for a flex pass
3.  Get a flex pass and take the requiz either Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday of this week during flex.

Your iReady is due by the end of the day on Friday this week, but I'm only asking for 30 minutes.

Please login to iXL and under myiXL there is an assignment for a quiz.  This is just a practice quiz, but it should cover every topic we have learned.  This will tell us if there is an area we need to go back and review.  Please finish by Friday at 3pm.

We will be going over our timeline project Thursday in class and begin working on them.  I will show examples from previous years to help plan your project.  You will be given most of class on Friday to complete and they will be due next Friday.

Hi everyone, we will be doing our "about me" paper to hang up in the classroom.  Please bring in a 3x3 or smaller picture of yourself.  It can be a picture, you can print out "clip art" of something you love, etc, or just draw a self portrait.  We will be doing this during Wednesday's Early Out Day.
