French 1 B is the second year of a two-year academic elective based on the objectives and standards for French 1 at Los Gatos High School. Studentsdevelop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills and gain an understanding of the culture, geography and history of Francophone (French-speaking) countries. A placement exam for admission to French 2 at Los Gatos High School is administered to French 1B students in early March.Other high schools may have different placement criteria.
