Period 5 - Science 6

Use the study guide to study for the upcoming unit test on Genetics. Please review notes in your notebook and notes on Google Classroom. Do not just read through your notes; instead, test yourself to make sure you know the information. (Free printable flashcard maker https://www.kitzkikz.com/flashcards/). You MUST know the vocabulary.

Use the information on your study guide and in your notebook to create your EBS (EXTERNAL BRAIN SHEET - think Cheat Sheet). The EBS must be hand-written, and can be used on the test. You may use ONE SIDE of an 8 1/2 X 11" paper for your EBS.  Your EBS is due on the day of the test. 

Students will take an online unit test and a lab practicum during the same class period.

There are no retakes or corrections on tests in 6th-grade science because you get to use an EBS on the test. You need to prepare in advance for your test.

Your notebook will be checked and graded for a process grade. Be sure your Table of Contents is complete with the correct titles of pages, and all of your pages are numbered. Your notebook should be organized exactly like Mrs. Fish's. All pages should be complete. All answers to labs and activities should be written as complete sentences, using part of the question in your answer.

This notebook check will count for around 50 points. Consider this a homework assignment and do a good job. THERE ARE NO RE-DOs. Mrs. Fish will be checking the notebook starting on page 94 and the pages that follow. All pages should be completed.

A sample Table of Contents is attached for you. Some additional items will be added to the notebook next week.
