Use the information on your study guide and in your notebook to create your EBS ( EXTERNAL BRAIN SHEET - think Cheat Sheet).  The EBS  can be up to one regular-sized piece of notebook paper, must be hand-written, and can be used on the test. For this assessment, you may write on the front AND back of your sheet.  

There are no retakes or corrections on tests in 7th grade science. You need to prepare in advance for your test.


Due to B2SN being moved, Thursday, September 14 is a minimum day and when students will have the practicum test.
Friday, September 15 is an all-period day and when students will take the online portion of the test.

Handwrite your External Brain Sheet for the test. You may use an 8 1/2 X 11 piece of paper and write on both sides. One side must be completely filled to receive full credit. Remember, this is your cheat sheet that you can use on the test.

Your notebook will be checked and graded for a process grade. Be sure your Table of Contents is complete and your pages are numbered. Your notebook should be organized exactly like Mrs. Fish's. All pages should be complete with the exception of the coloring of the CER Color-by-Number on page 11. All answers should be written as complete sentences using part of the question in your answer.
The first notebook check will count for around 40 points. Consider this a homework assignment and do a good job. There are no re-dos.

A sample Table of Contents is attached for you (some items will be added to the notebook next week).

Paste here the completed graph of your data from the Marble Launcher Lab. 


Checklist / To-do:
1.Use Google Sheets to type in your data
2. Make a LINE graph of your data
3. Be sure all is accurate on your graph - title, axis labels, etc.
4. Copy and paste your graph onto the attached Google Doc.

Come prepared to take a quick 10 point quiz on metrics, observation/inference/prediction, and CER. No notes or External Brain Sheet may be used on the quiz. Review your notes and FISH Journal questions to prepare. The quiz covers what we have been practicing the last 3 weeks in school.

Complete and turn in.

1. Complete, color, and decorate the Who I Am page. Leave no blank spots. (Change the label if necessary.)
2. Review your science syllabus with your parents and have your parent sign it.
