Science - 3(A) Fish-6th grade Assignments

Your notebook will be checked and graded for a process grade. All pages should be complete. Write all answers to labs and activities as complete sentences, using part of the question in your answer. Make sure your Table of Contents is complete, and your pages are numbered. Organize your notebook exactly like Mrs. Fish's.  

This notebook check will count for 40-50 points. Consider this a homework assignment and do a good job. THERE ARE NO RE-DOs.
Mrs. Fish will be checking notebook pages 1 - 17  AND any notes/labs added to the notebook next week. All pages must be completed. 

A sample Table of Contents is attached for you, but it is not complete. Additional notes/labs added to the notebook next week will count in the notebook check.

Use the study guide to study for the upcoming unit test on the Nature of Science. Please review notes in your notebook, FISH Journal questions, and notes on Google Classroom. Do not just read through your notes; instead, test yourself to make sure you know the information. (Free printable flashcard maker: https://www.kitzkikz.com/flashcards/). You MUST know the vocabulary. Students will receive a copy of the attached study guide in class.

Use the information on your study guide and in your notebook to create your EBS ( EXTERNAL BRAIN SHEET - think Cheat Sheet).  The EBS is the outlined handout given in class that the student must complete. The EBS is hand-written, and can be used on the test. Your EBS is due on the day of the test. In order to receive full credit on the EBS, you must have completed it. Students will receive a copy of the attached template in class.

Students will take an online unit test and a lab practicum during the same class period.

There are no retakes or corrections on tests in 6th-grade science because you get to use an EBS on the test. You need to prepare in advance
