Advanced Dance-Meyer Assignments

Please submit this form to let Mrs. Meyer know what you want her to include in our music mashup. She would also like to know if you are planning stunts and/or tricks that you need extra support with, so she can plan accordingly.

*Please bring shoes to run the pacer test on Thursday and Friday this week. Your pacer goal is based on your best mile time since January of 2026. 

After we watch the dance videos in class, please respond to the form as best as possible. 

NOTE: we did not capture this performance from all angles.  It is likely that you will not be able to see yourself in the small gym.  I am deeply sorry for this mistake.  The parent volunteers did not know they could go into the small gym with the closed bleachers. Hopefully, we do not have to pivot for a problem like this again. You did a great job with the information we were given last-minute. I'm proud of your hard work, even though it wasn't documented.

Great work so far! We are at the "finish line!" 

Please ask your teacher to leave 4th period at 11:45.  Leave backpacks in your 4th period, or the locker room, on your way over to the gym.  We will try to run the dance at least once, maybe twice, before the rest of the school shows up. To save time, try to already be in your costume at the beginning of 4th period. You can change during break if you're not in my 4th period class.

*Leadership has decided to let students sit on the floor, because the gym wall is broken.  This means we need to cut some of the tumbling. If you tumble during the rally, please check in with me at 11:45. 

Advanced (period 6):
Top- plain white, any style fit
Jersey- black, button as needed 
Bottom- plain black, any style fit
Shoes- neutral-colored sneakers, NO sandals
Hair- any style
Accessories (optional)- spirit colors 

We will have an optional dress rehearsal in the gym during class on Wednesday, 9/23.

You're about to finish the "rough draft" for your first rally dance! Good luck!  I'll clean it up when I see you all again next week.

Note: Open dance begins after the floor work, when the four quick walks start. 

Please refer to your class portfolio for your results from our first benchmark tests.  Results will include 1) push-ups, 2) shoulder stretch, 3) curl-ups, 4) trunk extension, and your 5) August mile time. If you are missing any of these measurements, please meet with Mrs. Meyer to make it up. Thank you!
