I wanted to send you a soft copy of our orchestra syllabus for your reference throughout the year.
Please take a look at our performance calendar since it is a little different than previous years.
We will go over this in class together, have your parents sign the last page and collect the cut-off portion as your first grade in Powerschool.
If you every need to miss a concert, please remember to fill out the "Performance Conflict Form" found as a link in the syllabus 2 weeks before the concert.

Students have the choice of two attire options. Please check with your students to see which option they would like to wear before paying if you are purchasing.
Option 1: Black Velvet Top with Skirt/Pants
Option 2: White Collared Shirt and Black Dress Pants
Below are the concert attire options, guidelines, and care instructions for this school year.
Please fill out the form below for enrolled in the music program.
Keep an eye out for a follow-up post next week to sign up for a uniform fitting appointment.
For formal concerts, choose one option:
Borrowed attire is free to use but . Borrowed items must be returned clean at the end of the year—
Choir Dresses ($90), Band/Orchestra Skirt & Blouse ($90), or White Shirt & Black Dress Pants ($60).
You may buy your own items for the White Collared Shirt and Black Dress Pants option (please see attached uniform photo)
Fittings are required for borrowing from the school or purchasing through the music boosters. Sign-ups will open next week. Fittings will take place on:

Pants should be hemmed to a half-break, and dresses hemmed to allow easy walking. Use (do not cut fabric). - Clothes must be wrinkle-free; use low heat with a press cloth between the iron and garment.
Solid black, closed-toe dress shoes, flats, or 1–1.5” heels. Wear solid black dress socks with pants, or skin-toned/black tights with dresses.
Hair must be secured out of the face using small, neutral clips or headbands (black or hair-colored only). Makeup must look natural and subtle. Only small, simple jewelry is allowed to prevent performance distractions.
All borrowed attire must be returned clean with temporary hems removed after the final concert of the year.
Remove brooches/accessories. Wash separately on a gentle cycle with cold water (no bleach). Tumble dry on medium-high heat for 10–15 minutes, then hang damp on a plastic hanger to air dry wrinkle-free.
Machine wash in warm water, tumble dry, and hang immediately to prevent wrinkles.
