Due:

2/28: Lesson Overview + "ASIAD" Sketchnotes HW Check in Google Classroom

2/28: Lesson Overview + "ASIAD" Sketchnotes HW Check

Today you have a guest teacher.  Please work diligently and be focused.

1) Book Talks (40)
-The first 30-40 minutes of class will be spent in the library for Book Talks.

2) "ASIAD" Sketchnotes HW Check (5)
-Since Mrs. G is unable to check off your HW in-person, you will take a picture with your laptop of your completed Sketchnotes and attach it here to this assignment post.
-If you do not attach a photo by the end of the class period, your homework will be late.

3) Read: "The Knowers" (10-20)
-Attached here, but also in your 'Story Bank' on GC.
-The guest teacher will give you a purple hard copy of the story to annotate and close read.
-If you possess YOUR OWN headphones, you may click on the electronic link under the title to listen to the audio of the story as you read.  If you do not have headphones, you will read the story silently without audio.
-As you read/listen to the story, use a highlighter to close read/annotate.  If you do not have a highlighter, ask a neighbor for one or just underline with another writing utensil.
-Think: Which topics do you see in the text?  What are the morals or lessons the author is trying to teach the reader?  Where are crafty moves or decisions made by the author?

4) Sketchnotes for "The Knowers" (25)
-Look for a separate assignment post titles, "WW | "The Knowers" Sketchnotes" - there you will find the assignment post and a reminder of what criteria needs to be included in your sketchnotes.  (Note: is is the same requirements as the ones you did for "ASIAD")
-The guest teacher will give you a piece of printer paper.
-Borrow coloring materials as you see fit.
-Use the rest of the period to work on your sketchnotes for "The Knowers" (Due: Day 1 next week).
-Remember to use this time wisely.  Someone who is focused and working has the potential to get a lot, if not all, done.  Your work output determines how much homework you will need to work on over the weekend.
