Each time you finish an independent reading book, add it to your reading tracker. The tracker should include every independent reading book you complete this year.

By the end of this quarter I hope that all students will avoid some of these common mistakes in writing. We will complete a practice (which is in class and will be collected) and have a test on this later. Don't worry about the practice score. The practice score will inform you of where you need to grow for the final assessment. We will complete the assessment on Monday/Tuesday (9/1 or 9/2)

Be prepared, there will be a prefixes quiz on October 7th, 8th or 9th. You should be able to identify and underline the prefix, know what it means and provide a definition given the example. For example, the sample sentence you may get is:
My house is adjacent to Los Gatos Blvd. 
(you would underline AD)
AD means to, toward, NEAR
Meaning: Adjacent means when something is NEAR something.

This will be a PRODUCT score.

You may retake this quiz one more time for a better score during Flex if you don't like your score.
