Principal's Message

Dear Fisher Families,

At Fisher Middle School, we are proud to welcome all of our students to learn and grow amongst their peers and with an exceptional group of staff members.  Fisher excels in so many areas and continues to be an outstanding exemplar of a public middle school.  From our award winning math teams, to our acclaimed music program, to our championship athletics teams and more, Fisher offers something for all learners! Whether it be our Robotics Club, our Digital Arts class or our active and engaging PE classes, we believe Fisher can support every student!  With a solid core education curriculum, our young scholars are exposed to a strong, standards based curriculum that offers the opportunity for foundational support as well as accelerated learning.

Our school handbook provides students and families with important information about our school. Please review the contents with your student before school begins and keep it accessible for future reference. If you have questions, please call the school office for clarification at 408-335-2300.

The entire Fisher Middle School community is looking forward to a great year of personal and academic growth, challenges, and accomplishments. We serve a diverse community of learners with approximately 1100 students in grades sixth through eighth grade. Our support staff of over sixty-five teachers, instructional aides, specialists, custodians, food service, and administrative staff all work with your students to achieve high academic and social standards to ultimately develop personal and community responsibility. With strong parent participation, we work as a village to make each day a positive experience for your child(ren).

Personal and academic growth as well as building self-advocacy and self-confidence during middle school will help to prepare your child for the transition to high school. We believe in offering a balanced instructional program with a team approach emphasizing academic success and emotional connections as students continue to develop social skills. When students, families, and staff work together, every child will succeed. We invite you to join us in this effort to ensure creative thinking, innovation, academic excellence, curiosity, thoughtful change, and good citizenship.

Welcome to Fisher!

Sincerely,

Mary Lonhart
