Announcements

Attention Cross Country Parents.  Registration for this upcoming season will open tomorrow, Friday around 5pm.  Space is limited to 50 participants per grade so do not delay.  You can find registration for Cross Country by going to the LGSR website.

Cross Country Registration is now open.  Sept 1st is the first day of practice, but students should be on the lookout for an on-campus lunchtime meeting for more information regarding CoEd Cross Country.   We also purposely begin Cross Country a week after Basketball tryouts because Basketball is a "cut" sport, meaning not everyone makes the team.  Cross Country is a "non-cut" sport, everyone makes the team.  Thank you for your patience!

This registration link provided includes all paperwork needed in order to participate in this sport.  Payment Registration portal will be open later this month.

Welcome to the 2022 Cross-Country season! Cross country is a no-cut sport and is a great opportunity to come out, get fit, and be part of a fun team! We recommend that all athletes be able to run without stopping for at least 2 miles before joining the team.

Please fill out the online forms provided above.

Practice starts after school on Monday, Sept 1st and is from 3:15-4:30 on Mondays and 3-4:15 pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays (when there is no offsite meet) and Thursdays. (There is no practice on Fridays.) Practice attendance is mandatory and no more than 3 absences are allowed during the season.

Uniforms consist of a Fisher jersey, which will be distributed on TBD, and green or black shorts of your choice. (PE shorts are OK.)

Note there are no practices on Fridays or Saturdays--the workouts listed for those days are just suggestions for athletes who want to run on their own on those days.

The meet schedule is TBD.  You are responsible for getting your athletes to the meets.

Volunteers wanted!
We welcome parent volunteer help. If you are able to join us at practice and run with the kiddos, please let Coach Kent know. Even if just a day!
We also need extra help with meet days--a couple of parents at each meet to help direct the runners through the course.

We are looking forward to a great season!
